New – Mobile SDK for Xamarin
AWS continues to expand its support for programming languages, so that developers have more options for building applications for all kinds of mobile devices. As such, Amazon is launching a preview of support for Xamarin to Amazon SDK for .NET.
Xamarin lets developers create C# apps across multiple platforms, apps capable of running on iOS, Windows, and Android devices. With the new Xamarin SDK support, you can access these services:
- Amazon Cognito
- Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3)
- Amazon DynamoDB
- Amazon Simple Notification Service (SNS)
- Amazon Mobile Analytics
You can start using AWS services with a Xamarin application today.
Coming Soon – iOS Device Farm
Last July, AWS launched a device farm with support for testing Android and Fire OS apps. This time, AWS announced it giving the same treatment for iOS.
AWS plans to launch the iOS device farm on August 4, 2015. It will support testing for these test automation frameworks: Appium, Callabash, UI Automation, and XCTest. You may also use a built-in fuzz test.
You can read more about the device farm here.
