If you need a source control service for the cloud, look no further than AWS CodeCommit, a service that lets you host a highly-secure and scalable Git repository.
To make this service even more useful, AWS is adding support for AWS Short Notification System to send you trigger notifications. You can make up to 10 triggers per repository in CodeCommit.
Each time actions like code pushes, branch/tag creation and deletion, and others are done in your repository, it sends an SNS notification to an AWS SNS topic, or it can trigger a Lambda function. From there the possibilities are endless: you can trigger builds, check your syntax, gather metrics, send videos to social media sites, and much more.
You can start creating and managing your triggers now through AWS Management Console, AWS Command Line Interface, or the CodeCommit API. Read more about this feature at the Managing Triggers for an AWS CodeCommit repository document.
